1. The NIV’s “acknowledgment of God” in Hosea 4:1 is not as accurate a translation of the Hebrew text as the “knowledge of God” that most other versions have. Although it is true that the people did not acknowledge God, the Bible is making the point that they did not know Him, and they should have, and in fact they would have if they had not rejected Him.
